What are piles?

Piles are lumps that are placed inside the anus and cause swelling or pain in the anus area during the washroom time. There are small and rounded lumps that appear in the anal canal. They look like enlarged blood vessels that develop over time. The reasons for the pulses include the intake of a poor nutrient diet

Causes:

The main causes of the pulses are as follows:

  • Due to strain in the washroom
  • Due to constipation
  • When you have a consistent cough
  • Due to lifting heavy objects

Types of piles:

The types are categorized according to the degree of their severity.

  1. First degree: this type of pile is formed inside the ans and does not come out; in this, the candidate may bleed out
  2. Second degree: in this, the piles come out during the poo time, but get inside after some hours
  3. Third degree: this type of pile usually forms outside th anus and goes inside only when the candidate pushes it inside the anus.
  4. Fourth degree: In this degree, the piles hang down from the anus all the time, and the candidate can’t push them inside. They become worse, swollen, and painful, and a person with this degree piles and flushes out a lot of blood in the washroom.

Nonsurgical treatment options:

The options include:

  • Rubber band ligation: This procedure is done to stop the bleeding by wrapping rubber bands around the growth area. After one week, the patient may see the piles peel off
  • Sclerotherapy: In this process, the doctor uses a chemical mixture on the targeted area to shrink the piles. The injection is less effective than the rubber band. it has lower risks and is used to treat internal abnormalities.
  • Laser: the other technique that involves a noninvasive process to remove or eliminate the pile is the laser. The doctor directs the laser light on the targeted area to remove the tissue layer that is swollen and causes pain
